Nextdoor

Is a communication tool for residents in the Ocean House condominium community

Introduction
At our 2018 Annual Meeting interest was expressed in the ability to communicate with others in our community.  Nextdoor is a secure, free, and private online social network app.  There are already five neighborhoods in York using this app including York Harbor and Long Sands Beach.  The Short Sands Beach neighborhood will enabe communication within our Ocean House community.  Nextdoor’s mission is to provide a trusted platform around the world where neighbors work together to build stronger, safer, happier communities.  People are using Nextdoor to:

  • Find out who is the best contractor in town
  • Ask for help keeping an eye out for a lost pet
  • Find a new home for an outgrown bike or furniture
  • Post events of interest to the community
  • Offer a parking space that is open on specific dates
  • Locate a parking space for specific dates for your guests

Please Note:  This is not intended as a means to contact the Property Manager.  He should be contacted directly by phone or email.

Nextdoor Safety Policy
Nextdoor makes it safe to share online the kinds of things you’d be okay sharing with your neighbors in person.  Nextdoor Community Guidelines:
“Treat Everyone with Respect.” Nextdoor wants everyone to feel welcome, safe, and respected when using Nextdoor.   “Be helpful, not hurtful.”

  • Don’t use Nextdoor as a soapbox
  • Promote local businesses and commerce the right way
  • Use your true identity
  • Keep it clean and legal
